Christ said I made you
Christ said I love you
I love you too much
To just let you stay
I’ll stretch you and pull you
And let hardship hold you
I’ll keep you and give you
Strength for today
It’s painful, my darling
I know who you are and
Who you’re becoming
Is better by far
Christ said I made you
Christ said I love you
I love you too much
To take this away
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6-7
About Abi Dattilio

Abi can spin out a poem in 20 minutes and then tweak it for 5— make that 6—years. She enjoys living in Vermont with her husband and son, their pets, and extended family. If each congregant is a part of the body, Abi thinks she may be an eyebrow – practical, comical, and at times, a bit unruly.
